A rivet gun (or riveter) is a tool used to install blind rivets (also known as "pop rivets") to permanently join two pieces of material, typically when you can only access one side of the joint. It works by pulling a central mandrel through the rivet body, deforming the body to clamp materials together until the mandrel snaps off.
